E-commerce

Online stores that sell, not just pretty catalogues.

We build fast e-commerce with optimised checkout, payment gateways suited to your market and a real backend for your operations: stock, shipping, returns and invoicing.

An online store that does not convert is not a store, it is a digital catalogue. Pixel Labs builds sales-focused e-commerce: short checkout, clear product pages, useful search, persistent cart and payment gateways tailored to your real market.

We have worked with D2C brands, B2B distributors, subscription businesses and migrations from saturated platforms such as Shopify when the recurring cost stops making sense. We do not sell templates: we propose the most appropriate technical architecture after understanding your real operations.

What a working store measures

Numbers we look at from day one:

  • Conversion rate — between 1.5% and 3% is acceptable; below that there is a UX or gateway problem.
  • Time to add to cart — should be under 30 seconds on mobile.
  • Cart abandonment — anything above 70% needs checkout optimisation.
  • LCP on product pages — main image loaded under a second.
  • CAC vs LTV — the metric that decides whether the business is viable.

It is not always Shopify

Shopify is a valid option for getting started fast, but its 2% transaction fee (or equivalent subscription) and the dependency on pay-per-use apps make it expensive past a certain volume. When the project exceeds €200,000 per year, it is almost always worth considering an own stack.

We use Medusa or Saleor when we want proprietary code with zero sales fee. We use Shopify Headless when we want to keep the Shopify backend but with a custom Astro or Next front-end for maximum speed. We decide with you after looking at the numbers.

What we build

D2C stores

Direct-to-consumer with medium catalogue (50–500 SKUs), brand storytelling and loyalty.

B2B e-commerce

Per-customer pricing, negotiated terms, minimum orders, EU reverse-charge VAT.

Subscription stores

Monthly boxes, recurring products, pause, change and cancel from the customer panel.

Simple marketplaces

Multiple brands under one umbrella, with automatic settlement per supplier.

Catalogues without checkout

When orders go through a sales rep: public catalogue + private area for recurring customers.

Migrations

Leave Shopify, PrestaShop or Magento for a faster solution with less recurring cost.

Frequently asked questions

Which platform do you recommend for an online store?
It depends. For large catalogues (>1,000 SKUs) or international, Shopify Headless. For full control without recurring cost, Medusa or Saleor. For small projects, well-optimised WooCommerce. We decide with you after understanding your operations.
How long does it take to develop a store?
A standard store with 50–200 SKUs and a standard gateway takes 6–8 weeks. B2B stores with per-customer pricing or ERP integrations can range 10–14 weeks.
Do you integrate Bizum?
Yes, through Redsys. Bizum matters in Spain for quick mobile purchases. We recommend it when average ticket is low (<€100) and the audience is mostly domestic.
What about VAT and invoices?
We configure VAT by country, intra-EU reverse charge for B2B and automatic invoice issuance. We integrate with Holded, FacturaDirecta, Quipu, A3 or connect with Verifactu and TicketBAI as needed.
Can I manage the store myself afterwards?
Yes. All stores we deliver include a complete admin: products, prices, stock, orders, customers, discounts and content. Training included for your team.
What does maintenance include?
24/7 monitoring, security updates, verified daily backups, email support with <4h response in working hours and a monthly bag of development hours for improvements. From €180/month depending on size.
